Veterinary Assistant at GSAH since spring 2017 after finishing her time in the U.S. Marine Corps. She is originally from the Ukraine. She and her husband, Daniel are both attending college at NEO A&M. Ana's interests include hobby farming with sustainable methods. She has started with about 60 chicks and 6 turkeys. She also has an energetic puppy named Juneau.
Veterinary Assistant, Animal Caretaker, and Boarding Assistant, Levi has worked at GSAH since 2007. He is a graduate from Grove High School, and enjoys traveling, family, and helping others(especially elders). He loves music, drinking coffee, and his cat. He has a tiny Chihuahua named Rico.

Veterinary Assistant since 2016. Alicia is a 2012 Jay High School graduate. She loves to read, play video games, and walk her Shiba Inu, Raiken around the neighborhood with her son Leon. She also has a fluffy calico cat that loves to lounge when having family movie nights. She enjoys spending time with her boyfriend and son.
Veterinary Assistant, Surgery Assistant, Debbie has worked at GSAH since 1997. Before coming to GSAH, she received a B.S. in Corrections/Criminal Justice, and worked for seven years as a veterinary assistant in Tulsa. She and her husband Kevin enjoy riding motorcycles, and attending Rascal Flatts' concerts. She has a dog, several cats, two standard horses, and one miniature horse. She is also a long-time devoted fan of the Outlander series by Diana Gabaldon.

Grove Small Animal
Veterinary Assistant since 2016. She is the mother of three human children and four fur children. Lacey was born and raised in Tiff City area and is a Grove High School graduate. She and her family love camping, fishing and going to the creek during the warm months.
Melissa is GSAH Office Manager, and has worked at GSAH since 1997, when she started working as a kennel assistant. She may be seen working as a receptionist, assistant, or wherever the need arises.
Melissa has two children, two cats, a pampered chihuahua named Angel, and three birds. Her hobbies include crafts and reading. Her newest title is Grandma! She reports that being a grandma is as good as people say.
Dr. Guy Lockwood
A Relief/Associate veterinarian and a graduate of Ohio State University, Dr. Lockwood has worked at GSAH since 2007. He and his wife Jan moved to Grand Lake after retiring from 33 years of veterinary practice in Phoenix, Arizona.
He was a Captain in the U.S. Army Veterinary Corps, and was stationed at Fort Myers, Virginia, and at Ft.Richardson, Alaska, where he was also a bush pilot. He and his wife have two dogs, Ginger and Little Buddy.
In his spare time, Dr. Lockwood studies painting of wildlife, landscapes, and portraiture. He is a bountiful gardener, and has been known to provide the clinic employees with an abundance of tomatoes.
Dr. Kathryn Dunaway-Knight
Co-owner of GSAH and a 1985 graduate of OSU College of Veterinary Medicine, Dr. Dunaway has worked at GSAH since 1992. She and her husband, Ron, have three children. Their son, Daniel and his wife, Ana are both recently finished their active duty in the United States Marine Corps. Their daughter, Amy is a pharmacist. She and her husband Clay recently moved to Minnesota where he is doing an internal medicine residency at Mayo. Their oldest son, Brian, is married to Becky, and they reside in Indiana.
She currently has Daisy the dog and Tinsel the cat. She loves to travel, read, surf Facebook and take photos.
When not in the clinic, Dr. Dunaway can be found traveling across the world to places like Mongolia and Africa, where she volunteers with the Christian Veterinary Mission. She is the State of Oklahoma Representative for Christian Veterinary Mission.

Veterinary Assistant Sarah joined our team June 2015. She graduated from Grove High School in 2008 and is originally from Texas. She enjoys spending time with her husband and kids. They enjoy hiking and camping. Her long term goals include attending school to become a veterinary technician and missionary work.
Dr. Jan Smith
Co-owner of GSAH, and a 1980 graduate of OSU College of Veterinary Medicine, Dr. Smith has worked at GSAH since 1992. She is married to Donnie, who works as a pharmacist, and they have a menagerie of critters including dogs, cats, horses, and cows.
Dr. Smith is passionate about helping others. She makes sure that dogs and cats of the people served by Meals on Wheels also have meals. Every month meals and treats for the pets are bagged up and sent to be distributed.
She is an avid I Love Lucy fanatic, and was lucky enough to meet Lucy's long-time personal secretary, who happened to retire at Grand Lake, and wandered into GSAH where she became a client.
Dr. Smith and her husband can be found riding trails around Monkey Island during their down time. She is also attempting to improve her golf swing!
Katie is a Senior at Grove High School. She joined our staff in 2016. She wants to become a veterinarian.
Receptionist & Veterinary Assistant, Kelley has worked at GSAH sinc 2003. Kelley has a knack for remembering people and their pets. She was a nanny to two-footed babies for 20 years, and now shares her nurturing skills with four-footed babies. She "adopted" a white dog named W.D.(white dog). She enjoys reading, gardening, crafts, 70s music, fishing, and, most recently, deer hunting.

Boarding caretaker has over 15 years of combined experience working for small animal and equine practices in Virginia before moving to Oklahoma in 2013. She joined our staff in 2016. She and her husband have enjoyed building up their hobby farm in Afton. Her activities include stained glass, quilting and trying to keep up with her farm animals and pets.
Dr. Lea Ann Chandler
DVM, Relief/Associate Veterinarian, a 2001 graduate of OSU College of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Chandler steps in to provide relief work for GSAH clinic whenever she is available. She is a hometown girl who married her high school sweetheart, Bryce; together they have two children, Corbin and Cara.
They have multiple pets, including dogs, cats, and chickens, roaming around their home, Chandler's Cacklin' Acres. Dr. Chandler and Bryce teach classes at their church, and Dr. Chandler also volunteers with her children's school classes for field trips, and has been a guest speaker at several school related events.
When not working, Dr. Chandler can be found at the soccer fields, at ballet classes and recitals, band concerts or helping her children and their rabbits and chickens prepare for 4-H events.
